The census stated she was the mother of eleven children, nine of whom were living on 2 June 1900. Besides five children living in her home was Neil Childress, age 23, a grandson. There were also two boarders working as laborers and one black servant living in the home. Lucretia owned a farm free of a mortgage and she could read and write. This census stated that both her parents were born in Virginia.
