Howard H. Palmer Jr., 78, of Stroudsburg died Monday in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.

He was a horticulturist foreman at LaBar's Nursery, Stroudsburg, for 30 years, retiring in 1979.

Born in East Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Howard H. Sr. and Helen (Gordon) Palmer.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors: Brothers, Norman Sr. of Stroudsburg and James of Annandale, Butler County.
