Kenneth served as a Second Lieutenant & Flight Engineer on B-29 "The Big Wheel," #42-65283, 99th Bomber Squadron, 9th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in New Castle County, Delaware prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on March 16, 1943 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Mechanical Engineer and also as Single, without dependents.

He was married after his enlistment.

Kenneth was "Killed In Action" when his B-29 experienced mechanical trouble en route to Japan and jettisoned their mines. They made it back to Tinian Island, Marianas but crashed on the shore during the war. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here on December 23, 1948 close to the home of his father and mother.

He was mistakenly noted as being from Grafton County, New Hampshire on the "Honor List of Dead & Missing of World War II" at archives.
