A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Leo F. Labrecque, of Berlin, on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, with Father Steve Lepine as celebrant. The cantor was Emilie Stiles, accompanied by Linda Levesque as organist. The crucifer was Robert Pelchat, and the acolyte was Phyllis Morrissette.
The pall was placed by his wife Clarisse Labrecque, daughters Elaine Caron and Shirley Bertin, and his son Roland Labrecque. His wife Clarisse placed the cross. His daughter Elaine Caron and Felicia Aubut for Shirley Bertin did the Eulogy. Serving as readers were his granddaughters Cassandra and Felicia Aubut. The offertory gift of a song sheet was presented by Chantell Aubut, a Rosary from Hiedi Labrecque and a picture of a ship was presented by Anna Johnson, and his granddaughters Elissa Mrowka and Angela Caron brought up the wine and hosts. A special song, "How Great Thou Art," was sung by his cousin Lionel Roy.
Interment followed the services in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were his godchildren and nephews Maurice Croteau and Raymond Labrecque; his nephews Robert Croteau, Normand Dupuis, and Robert and Paul Labrecque. Honorary pallbearers were his granddaughters Elissa Mrowka, Angela Caron, Anna Johnson, Heidi Labrecque, Felicia, Cassandra, and Chantell Aubut. All of the great-grandchildren, Christopher Ouellette, Montiana Labrecque, Trent Gagne, Ella Aubut, Leo Manfredi, and Brenna Aubut, placed roses on the casket at the cemetery.
Full military honors were performed by White Mountain Veterans Council, made up of members from the following veterans' organizations: American Legion Posts 36 and 82, Richard Demers Det. MCL, and veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2520. The Naval Honor Guard folded and presented the flag.
