Nora Bell Clark was the daughter of Charles Gilbert Clark and Virginia Ann Fisher. She grew up on her father's homestead in the Moon Lake area of southern Brown County, Nebraska. On October 1, 1922, Nora married Ralph Edwin Hill, a neighbor boy from another homesteader family and they established a cattle ranch. Ralph and Nora had three children: Charles Leslie Hill, Harold E. Hill, and Cleona Mae Hill Allen. They divorced in about 1947. A few years later, Nora married Frank Edwin Snyder of Bassett, Nebraska, who died in 1957. Nora and Barton Lily Brown of Weaubleau, Missouri, were married on October 30, 1974. Nora died on July 28, 1980, at the home of her daughter Cleona in Independence, Kansas.
