Erwin C. Monthye, 82, died September 18, 1982, at the Selby Good Samaritan Center. Services were Wednesday at the Mound City St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Reverend Timm Meyer officiated. Burial in the Mound City cemetery.
He was born May 01, 1900, to Gust and Gust Monthye near Mound City. On August 27, 1922, he married Dorothy Bollinger at the Herreid Reformed Church.
Survivors are three sons, Vernon D. of Bismarck, North Dakota, Jerome D. of Rush City, Minnesota, and Ervin J. of Kalispell, Montana; a daughter, Marilyn Harrison of Deadwood, South Dakota; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel (Tommy) Thompson, Violet Ries and Ramona (Joe) Ries, of Mobridge.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his brother, John; his sister, Fern, in infancy; a grandchild and his parents.
