Ray married Diane Marie Winter in 1954 and reared a family in Toledo. In 1983, Ray married Judith "Judy" Brone Cohn, and they made their home together near Corey Woods until her passing in 2007. Ray then met Jane Rayman and they found that love does offer second chances, and later as his health quickly deteriorated this year she steadfastly and lovingly cared for him.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Samuel and Louis Mainwold, and wife Judy.
Ray is survived by his children, Michael (Kim) Mainwold and Mindee (Steven) Grady; grandchildren, Connor and Alexandria Mainwold, and Matthew, Hollee and Ryan Grady; brother, Herman (Nanette) Mainwold, and his nieces, Susan (Eric) Johnson and Melissa "Lisa" Imhoff, and grand-nephew and niece, Aaron and Hayley Imhoff; stepchildren, Karen Cohn (Teri Gruenwald) and Thomas Cohn (Gregory Deligdisch); step-grandchildren, Rafael and Simon Cohn-Gruenwald. Ray is also survived by his loving fiancée, Jane Rayman; who was by his side when he passed.
