COOPERSTOWN - Jessie T. Field, 81, formerly of Hartwick Seminary, died in a Rochester Hospital Monday morning following a long illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ingalls Funeral Home, Cooperstown. Burial will be in Hartwick Seminary.
Mrs. Field was born Aug. 19, 1883 in Scotland, the daughter of William and Agnes (Harkness) Thompson.
She married William Field on Feb. 13, 1914 in Staten Island. He died April 27, 1945.
She is survived by three sons, William B. Field, Hartwick Seminary; George M. Field, Webster; and Robert B. Field, Ontario; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Merrell, Staten Island and Miss Minnie Thompson, St. Petersburg, Fla. and several nieces and nephews.
