John was 3 years old when he came to America, with his parents, aboard the ship "ELIZABETH." Sailing from Rotterdam they arrived at Philadelphia 27 Aug 1733. The ships register listed: Simon Lindar 53, Simon Lindar Jr. 16, Margaret Lindor 39, Catrina Lindor 17, Lawrence Lindor 8 and John Lindor 3 and 3/4. They settled in Frederick County in northwest Virginia.
