Jeanne Elizabeth Glover (Engle) was born in Lowell, Ohio in 1919 and life was never the same in the house of W.P. and Amelia Engle. Jeanne was one of 12 children who worked the family farm together. She graduated from Beverly, Ohio as captain of the basketball team and president of the Honor Society. She attended Ohio State University and her first job after college was with Denison Steele. She married C.K. Glover in 1948. This union began a love affair which lasted 60 years. Their legacy of love, fun, and devotion is visible in the lives of their 8 children, Chuck, Carma, Kenneth, Roebie, Terry, Jeannie, Tony, and Rheta. Moving to OKC in 1949, Mom and Pop raised their team in the Catholic faith at Christ the King Church, School and Bishop McGuinness. Jeanne was active in her community, church, and school. She was twice Woman of the Year, President of the Altar Society, and Cub Scout Leader. Jeanne worked at the State Capitol, Cabana Swim Club, and Sportsmans Country Club. For 28 years, she managed Christ the King School cafeteria and fed hundreds of children. Celebrating her life are husband, C.K. 8 children, their spouses 25 grandchildren, their spouses 17 great grandchildren 4 brothers 3 sisters and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and fellow bridge players. Preceding her in death are her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and 1 great grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to Christ the King School Capitol Improvement Fund. Rosary will be held on Oct. 21, at 7:00pm, Smith and Kernke. Mass of Christian Burial will be Oct. 22, 10:00am, Christ the King Catholic Church.
