John Dewey Teague, 60, died May 17 at his home in Hobbs, N.M. No services are scheduled. Chapel of Hope Funeral Home is in charge of cremation.

He was born May 4, 1946, in McAllen and married Carol Ann Oberfell June 3, 1969 in Seminole. John served in the U.S. Marines in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He worked for Montgomery Ward for ten years and was a postal custodian for thirty years.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Teague of the home; two sons, Damon Shawn Teague and wife, Elizabeth, and Jason Eric Teague and wife, Janine; parents, A.D. and Velma Teague of Midland; brother, James Howard Teague; sister, Deborah Jean Horne; and two granddaughters, Sashenka Renee Teague and Danielle Sophia Teague.
