Funeral services for Mr. Timothy "T. Ray" Deville will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, with Reverends David Guillot and Ronnie Nation officiating. Interment will follow in Big Island Baptist Church Cemetery, Deville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Deville, 81, of Deville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

T. Ray was born October 21, 1936 and lived most of his life in Deville, Louisiana. He attended Buckeye High School and then later married the love of his life, Anita Estelle Fuqua on June 2, 1956. T. Ray loved the Lord and his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather whom his family looked upon with great respect and admiration. He served his Lord and Savior and was a lifelong active member of Big Island Baptist Church in Deville where he was the overseer of the cemetery for many years. He was always there to lend a hand for the church until recently due to his illness. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and going camping with his family. He was a member of the Lower Forty Hunting Club where he enjoyed the fellowship with his family and friends. T. Ray was a hard worker and always provided for his family. In his working career, he worked and retired from AFCO Industries then started to work at Angola State Correctional Facility and transferred to Louisiana State Department of Corrections WTF-N in Pineville where he retired as a Master Sergeant.

Mr. Deville is preceded in death by his parents, James Menard and Henrietta Holland Deville; his siblings, Dennis Deville, Marvin Deville, Riley Deville, Blanchard Deville, Andrew Deville, Virginia Wiley, Telene Wiley, Mae Nation, Katie Deville and his son-in-law, Steven Alwell.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of sixty-two years, Anita Estelle Fuqua Deville of Deville; five children, Timmy Deville and his wife Angela of Deville, Kathy Silvers and her husband Wayne of Deville, Bonnie Smith and her husband Bill of Pineville, Joy Deville of Deville, Katie O'Bannon of Deville; two brothers, Nelson Deville of Lafayette, Belton Deville of Ashland, TN.; three sisters, Corrine Burnaman Sullivan of Deville, Lena Smith and her husband Sammy of Independence, Betty Sue Ryland and her husband Bobby of Poland; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, one great grandchild on the way and one great-great grandchild on the way.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Ryan Deville, Chase Linzay, Darrell Bailey Mabou, Brandon Deville, Dalton Deville and Trenton Deville. Honorary pallbearers will be James Fuqua, Bill Smith, Wayne Silvers, Jeremy Mabou, Wes Head, Corey Guedry, Matt Abrams and Karson Mabou.
