Mrs. Elizabeth Morgan Dead

Died: - At her home in Middletown, on Friday, May 22, 1908, Mrs. Elizabeth Morgan, aged 82 years, 5 months and 19 days.

Elizabeth Cox was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 1825, and came to Missouri in her girlhood, and since that time had lived in this community. She was married first to Robert Delaney, and to this union one son was born. This son - Joseph - died some 25 years ago. After the death of her first husband, she was married to Daniel Morgan, who passed to the other world many years ago. To this union eight children were born, six of whom survive her, namely: Mrs. Samuel Parrish and Mrs. J. B. Hamblen of this community; Mrs. Nell Burgess and John Morgan, of Texas; Mrs. Ed Coulter, of Sheridan Lake, Colorado, and Mrs. Rolla Hughes, of Kimmswick, Mo.

Deceased united with the Baptist Church in Kentucky, when 16 years of age, and remained a faithful member thereto until her death. She was a good mother and a kind neighbor, and had many friends in the commuity. Her remains were laid to rest in the Middletown cemetery on Saturday, after funeral ex----- by Rev. Lovelace and Dr. Rigg.
