Mrs. Ira (Minnie) Gregory died at her home 8 miles west of Lexington, IL. after a 2 week illness.
Minnie Lanham was born Jan. 14, 1869, near Cornland, Logan county, the youngest daughter of Elizabeth Sappington and Clifton R. Lanham. 10 brothers and sisters have preceded her in death.
She attended school in Normal, IL and was married to Ira Gregory on Nov. 3, 1886. Nine children were born to them, five of whom survive: Mrs. B. J. Kinsella and Mrs. Charles E. Dodson, Gridley, Harold at home and Lawrence, Lexington. Also surviving besides the husband are 14 grandchildren.
Mrs. Gregory was a member of the Christian Church since girlhood and was actively engaged in the work of the Gregory church near her home where she had resided for 47 years.
