James Chester McGuire age 88, of Worthville, passed away on Sunday at his residence. James was the son of the late Alexander and Nannie Rodgers McGuire. He was the husband of the late Louise Brown McGuire. James spent most of his life in Carroll County working as a farmer and also factory work. He is survived by four sons; David McGuire of Ghent, Jerry McGuuire of LaGrange ,Ralph McGuire of Carrollton and James McGuire of Ghent. Two daughters; Shirley Owen of Louisville, Wilma Johnson of Carrollton . Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. James was also precdeded in death by his daughter; Christy LouAnn McGuire. Two half brothers; Lester and Joe Dixon. One half sister; Ocia Mary Dixon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11am at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8pm. Burial will be in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery.
