Born in Burke County, June 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Bobbitt Orders.
Pauline was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
A great cook, she baked biscuits for many country ham suppers at her church. Pauline loved to travel.
Pauline is survived by her husband, Bob McGhinnis, of the home; sons, Mark McGhinnis, of Marion and Tim McGhinnis, of Morganton; grandchildren, Heather Calloway and husband, Scottie, of Marion, Kacee Stroupe and husband, Doug, of Morganton, Ursula Cable and husband, Jason, of Hudson, Adam Baker and wife, Samantha, of Morganton and Summer Hinrichs and husband, Matt, of California; a sister, Mayre Jane Lawrence, of Tennessee; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Baker; and a sister, Geneva Willson.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 29, at Salem United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Mark Conforti and Kenneth Baker officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 1206 Salem Rd., Morganton, NC 28655. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
