Andy Dees was born in the Indian Territory, later Oklahoma. He and Margaret Patton married on 20 March 1904 in Bokoshe, OK. He was ordained as a Baptist preacher in Spiro, Le Flore, OK on July 17th 1911. He lived in the Pushmataha and Le Flore Counties, and worked as a farm laborer, and as a tie maker. He died as a young man of a couple of childhood diseases.
