ROSE ELDRIDGE

Mrs. Rose Eldridge, 72, died Tuesday at St. Agnes hospital in Fond du Lac following a long illness.

She was born on July 6, 1875, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pethan. In 1895 she was married to Wilson Eldridge, who died about 13 years ago. Prior to Mr. Eldridge's death 13 years ago the couple lived in the home now occupied by Alex Pilling. For the past several years the deceased had made her home with Mrs. Helen Ludwig at 60 Spring Street.

The deceased was a member of the Christian Mothers's society of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Chilton and was a member of the American Legion auxiliary. She was also affiliated with the Gold Star Mothers.

The survivors are a son, Oliver Eldridge, Chilton, and two grandchildren. Two sons, two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. The body of one son, Lt. John Eldridge was returned to Chilton for reburial from Australia on March 6, 1948.

Funeral services will be conducted at Pfeffer Funeral Home in Chilton and at St. Mary's Catholic Church by the Rev. Joseph Bartelme. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
