Charles Lee Adcox died Saturday, May 1, 1999, at the Tonganoxie, Kansas Nursing Center. He was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Lee Vernon and Katie Jenkils Adcox.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Local No. 101 of the Operating Engineers Union. In 1986, Charles retired as a heavy construction machine operator for Midwest Precoat Co., Kansas City, Missouri.
He married Collene M. Bradbury on May 12, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri. Other survivors include a son, two daughters, a brother, a sister, five grandchildren; and a stepgreat-granddaughter.
