MURLINE MILLER
Murline Bird Miller, 74, our very dear mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend left this earth on Tuesday, June 10, 1997, to be at last with her beloved husband. She was born November 18, 1922, in Dingle to John Roy and Natalea Hansen Bird. Her early years were spent on the family farm in Dingle. She graduated in 1941 with the first graduating class in the new Montpelier High School. With a few close friends she moved to Montpelier and started work at King's Variety Store until she met and married Fredrick Mondell Miller June 26, 1946. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple May 20, 1965. Fred was her eternal companion and they were blessed with two children. She was devoted to her family, especially her eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Montpelier was her home all of her adult life having worked at Teuscher's Market for 15 years and then for First Security Bank until her retirement in November of 1987. Many joyful hours were spent working in her yard. Beautiful flowers and a manicured lawn brother her great pleasure.
She died peacefully in her sleep after completing a life filled with church work and service to others. We will always cherish the time we were allowed to spend with her and call her mother.
Murline is survived by a daughter and husband, Dannia and Richard Lloyd of West Yellowstone; a son and wife, John Gregg and Karen Miller of Logan; and twin brothers, Dennis LeRay Bird of Dingle, and Darrell LeRoy Bird of Providence. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Delmore William, and a sister Mary Petersen.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 14, at the Montpelier Stake Center.
Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
