Although Henry's tombstone states his birth year as 1795, he must have been born before his mother died in August 1794. This Henry is the son of Jacob & Anna Maria (Maur) Messinger. Henry, son of Jacob's brother Michael is proven to have been born in 1799 and that Henry moved to upstate New York by 1840.
