Catherine A. Aiello 1921 - 2004
Catherine A. Aiello passed away at her Pittsburg residence at the age of 83 on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. Catherine was born September 26, 1921 in Pittsburg, CA. Married to Ratzi Aiello on September 15, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ratzi Aiello, on January 24, 1972, and son, Ratzi Aiello, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Aiello.
Survived by three children, Olga Anderson and son-in-law, Fred Anderson, Anthony Aiello and daughter-in-law, Debra Aiello, and Rose Aiello, grandchildren, Cathy Aiello, Ronald Aiello, Lester Anderson, Catherine Davis, Scott Aiello & Christine Aiello, great-grandchildren, Nikolas Aiello, Connor Aiello, James Davis, and Gracie Aiello, and brother, Joseph Aiello. Catherine was a lifelong resident of Pittsburg. Attended Church of the Good Shepherd, where she was a member of the altar guild for many years. Catherine was employed by Montgomery Wards as a sales clerk and also the Pittsburg Unified School District as a cafeteria worker. Catherine was family-oriented and simply loved being around them. Thanksgiving & Christmas were spent with Catherine making raviolis. She was always willing to lend a hand whenever needed. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She loved her garden and watching her fruit trees grow, giving fresh fruit to family & friends. Catherine touched many lives and will be missed immensely.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 3, 2004, starting at 4pm with a rosary at 6pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd. A funeral mass will be held Monday, October 4, 2004, at 10am at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Antioch. Pittsburg Funeral Chapel (925) 432-2114
