Resident of Antioch
Nini past away on Friday, July 20th after a lengthy illness. He was born and raised in Pittsburg and later resided in Antioch. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1947 where he excelled in football and track. He later became an avid golfer. Nini worked for U.S. Steel, Aiello Furniture and was also a member of the Pittsburg National Guard. From 1968-1987, Nini worked for the city of Pittsburg in the Housing Redevelopment Agency and later became the Director.
Nini is survived by his wife Juanita, his three daughters: Rose Ann (Ron) Lozano, Michelle (Tom) Beyhan and Pamela (Javier) Hernandez, two step sons, Joe (Theresa) Russo and Jeff (Joelle) Russo, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grand child. Nini is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rose C. Aiello, his brothers Russell and Sal and his sister Rose Marie (Aiello) Caputo. Nini also had several nieces, nephews and great nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel on Tuesday July 31st at 6pm. A private burial will be held at a later date for immediate family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nini's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org.
