"Many happy returns of the day to FRANK W. DICKEY of Hornell, born Nov. 3, 1868 on the Swale, town of Canisteo. Veteran Erie train dispatcher in Hornell. Began with the Erie Railroad in 1887 as station helper in Cameron. After 11 years in Cameron he was transferred to Elmira. In 1903 he was made trainmaster's clerk in Hornell and later in the same year promoted to train dispatcher which he still holds. Married Miss Jennie B. Fairbanks of Cameron in 1890. Children: Josie G. (deceased), F. Mildred (Mrs. S. J. Glover), Mrs. George C. Frank and Doris E." The Canisteo Times, November 28, 1935
