Karen Rayemarie (Hickmott) Snider, Age 54, of Gaines, left this world to be with her heavenly Father, August 14, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, August 18 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, Pastor Joy Fletcher Thompson officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be 12-4 and 6-9 pm Friday, 11 am until the time of the service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Karen was born June 30, 1958 in Ypsilanti, MI. She attended Linden High School and graduated from Bay City Handy. She also had attended Baker College. She married Gregory Myles Snider on June 16, 1979 in Flint. She retired from GM Truck and Bus in 2009 and was a member of UAW 598. She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting, traveling to the west side of the state, and her grandbaby, and mostly important getting family toegther. Surviving are her husband of 33 years, Gregory; two children, Angela and husband James Croley III of Elkhart, IN; Gregory Myles Snider II and Whitney Fornari of Fenton; grandson James Croley IV; step-father George Christ of Bay City; siblings, Gene Robert Hickmott, Lawrence "Larry" Hickmott, Stephanie and husband John Hildinger, Mark Hickmott, Alan Hickmott, Joseph Hickmott; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Delton Benard Snider Jr., Michael Snider, Pamela and husband Jim Walczak, Susan Snider; a host of nieces and nephews; special friend Steve Klebs.
