Brian Lee Hodge, age 31, son of James A. Hodge and Jane Hodge Gill and stepson of Thomas Gill, departed this life on August 12, 2012. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Jimtown Baptist Church. He later united with the Pilgrim Baptist Church family.

Brian is survived by a two-year-old son, Brison Lee Hodge. Mourning his death are: his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ruth McDowell (Louis); and his maternal grandfather, Reverend George Tevis (Maggie). Preceding him in death were: his paternal grandfather, Reverend James A. Hodge; and his maternal grandmother, Helen Tevis. Brian also leaves aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

A homegoing celebration for Brian will be held at Pilgrim Baptist Church on Friday, August 17, at 2:00 p.m., with burial at Evergreen Memory Gardens, in Bourbon County, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Smith and Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
