ROYAL T HAMBLIN
Royal T. Hamblin, 73, of 1504 Genesee St., died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Deer River, Sept. 24, 1886, the son of William and Mina Purcell Hamblin. He attended schools in Port Leyden and studied telegraphy. He was employed by the New York Central for several years. Before his retirement in 1958 he had been employed for 40 years by the Fort Schuyler Knitting Co.
He married Flora Kapfer in Constableville. She died Jan. 28, 1949. He later married Julia Wagner.
Mr. Hamblin was a member of Plymouth Church.
Surviving, besides his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. William Doolittle and Mrs. Francis Driscoll, of California, and Mrs. Charles Meyers, of Norfolk, Va; two sisters, Mrs. Adrian Mowers, of Utica, and Mrs. Clayton Canavan, of Moravia; three stepchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral will be from the Stevens Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford, .....Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
