He was a resident of Prince Georges County Md from 1924 through 2008 until he retired to Harrisonburg VA. and for brief stints in the US Army (1944-1945) and schooling. Mr. Fitgerald was a decorated WWII war veteran and owner/operator of Fitzgerald Company Inc. He was married to the late Maizie Marie Hooper with whom they had several children, 12 grandchildren and is the great-grandfather of 26.
