FUNERAL OF MRS. SMITH CHIPPS--Mrs. Samantha Coleman was born in Licking Co., Ohio, Aug 21, 1837, died at her home in Monroe, Iowa arch 16, 1913, aged 75 years.
She was married to Mr. Smith Chipps, Aug 26, 1862,and in coming to Iowa, they located near Bellevue where they lived for almost half a century, moving a few years ago from there to Monroe.
Her desease was heart trouble and dropsy. She is survived by her husband and son Frank. She also leaves two sisters and two brothers to mourn her decease.
She has been a faithful member of the M.E. Church, when able always in her place, and could be counted upon in the active duties of the church.
She was for a time President of the Ladies Aid Society, and was also a member of the Women's Relief Corp., who attended the last services in a body.
The services took place from the M.E. Church, March 19, at 10 o'clock a.m. The sermon was preached by Rev. E.O. Douglass, after which all of mortal of a beloved member of the household, church and society was laid to rest in the Monroe Mausoleum.

Father Hugh Edman could Smantha have been married before Chipps there for the last name Bruce and Coleman?
