AUBURN - Kenneth W. Bowie, 79, of South River Raod died Monday morning at his home. He was born in Durham, April 20, 1910, son of Archie andAlice Jordan Bowie. He was educated in the schools of Berlin, Md. On March 22, 1932, he married the former Verna Crockett. He waroked for several years as a rural mail carrier in Auburn and was a well known dairy farmer. Mr. Bowie was a member of the Durham Friends Meeting House. He was a member of Eureka Grange in Durham, the Durham 4-H Club and the National Farmers Organization. He is survived by his wife of Auburn; one son, Calvin L. Bowie of Auburn; two daughters, Mrs. Everett (Alberta) Clour of Salem, N.J.; and Mrs. Franklin (Cynthia) Hunnewell of Durham; one brother, Roger Bowie of Durham; four sisters; Evelyn Reid of Bethel; Mrs. Kenneth (Ruth) Dudley of Sudbury, Mass.; Mrs. John (Betty) Chapman of Lynn, Mass.; and Mrs. Al (Doris) Charidonna of Saugus, Mass. 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
BOWIE - Died in Auburn, April, 2, 1990, Kenneth W. Bowie, husband of Verna C. Bowie. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at Plummer & Merrill Funeral Home, Auburn wher friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn.
