Dorothy Anderson, 83, of Clarion, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at The Heart of Wright in Clarion.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. John's Catholic Church, 608 Second Ave. N.E., Clarion, with the Rev. Nils Hernandez officiating. A private family burial will take place prior to the service at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Clarion, with a rosary service beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Dorothy Anderson, 83, of Clarion passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at The Heart of Wright in Clarion.

A memorial service for Dorothy Anderson will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1:30 PM at St. John’s Catholic Church, 608 2nd Avenue North East, in Clarion with Reverend Nils Hernandez officiating. A private family burial will take place prior to the service at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 602 North Main Street, in Clarion with a Rosary service beginning at 6:45 PM.

Dorothy E. Anderson was born January 28, 1929 in Wright County, and lived in the Clarion area most of her life.

Dorothy attended rural schools during her lower grades and attended Clarion High School where she graduated in 1947.

On June 28, 1947, Dorothy and Arland Anderson were united in marriage at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clarion. After her family had grown, she worked for Mueller Studio for more than 20 years.

Dorothy was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, a member of St. Rose Circle and she served on the Parish Council.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Arland; her parents Tony and Emma Reiland; 6 sisters and 3 brothers.

Dorothy is survived by three children, James and wife Vicki of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Deborah and husband Mike Downs of Phoenix, Arizona, and Joe of Clarion; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
