NELSON O. BACORN
March 23, 1904 ~ January 8, 1981

Nelson O. Bacorn, 76, Valliant, died Thursday at his home.

Born March 23, 1904 at Albion, I.T., he had lived in McCurtain County most of his life. He was a rancher and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mamie, of the home; six sons, O. J. of Kerman, Cal., Jonice of Sweet Home, Ore., Gilbert of Glover, Charlie of Lebanon, Ore., Vernon and Evert, both of Wright City; three daughters, Ledia Mae Campbell of Golden, Eva Lee Larson of Fresno, Cal., and Betty Rose Staggs of Salinas, Cal.;

One step-son, Paul Scarborough of Valliant; four step-daughters, Nora Cox, Edith Rice and Geneva Provence, all of Midwest City, and Delian Wilkerson of Oklahoma City;

One brother, Cecil Bacorn of Wright City; two sisters, Lizzie Christie of Valliant and Lela Patrick of Broken Bow; 30 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 18 step grandchildren, 29 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Sunday in the Valliant Church of Christ, with Stan Bryan, Church of Christ minister, officiating.

Arrangements and burial in the Moran cemetery are under the direction of Coffey-Ruiz Funeral Home.
