Memorial services for Virgie Childs will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Woodland Grove Baptist Church in Coffee County with Rev. Calvin Faircloth officiating, Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.
Mrs. Childs was born May 10, 1957 in Camdenton, Missouri daughter of the late Hugh Carson Amick and Irene M. Bohenblust Amick.
In addition to her parents Mr. Childs was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Talietha Childs, Glenda Strickland and her mother-in-law: Helen Christine Bolling. She is survived by her husband: Ron Childs, New Brockton, AL; 4 children and spouses: Albert (Gail) Sheets, Thoen (Christopher) Gunnell and Perry (Heather) Arington, all of Enterprise, AL; and Timothy Childs, New Brockton, AL; 6 brothers and sisters: Connie Plant, LA; Reynna Cooper, West Plains, MO; Adrienne Campbell, Liberty, MO; Dave Amick, Jack, AL; Joe Hutchinson, Versailles, MO; Billy Thornton, Stover, MO; and 15 grandchildren.
