Born Oct. 29, 1933, in Chaffee, to the late Leo M. and Loraine Edna Matthews Halter, she was a secretary for attorney Tom Arnold, and worked in the county clerk and recorder's office in Scott County and for First State Bank of Belgrade. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Quilting Club in Belgrade.
She first married Harold Hahn. On Nov. 12, 1977, she married Fred Anderson who preceded her in death July 12, 2010.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Terri Hahn of Benton; two daughters, Debra K. Stone of Bertrand and Tracy L. Spencer of Benton; a brother, Mick Halter of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Peggy Sullivan of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., with American Legion Ladies Auxiliary service at 7 p.m., today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery in Benton.
