On July 10, 1947 she married Billie L. Brown in the Washington Avenue Methodist Church Parsonage. They lived in Parsons until moving to Humboldt in 1974.
Alfreda was a very active member of the United Methodist Church teaching Sunday School for many years. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she especially enjoyed working with children. She also served on the Humboldt Public Library board.
She is survived by her husband, Billie, along with son, Larry and his wife, Patty and a daughter, Karen and her husband, Leland Parker, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her twin brother, Alfred M. Bolander.
Three brothers, Wilbur, Paul and William Bolander and two sisters, Wilma Bolander Chace and Mildred Bolander White preceded her in death
