Edwarda L. Griffith, age 84, of Harrisburg passed away at 11:47 PM, Monday, August 13, 2012 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Edwarda was born on April 13, 1928, in Williamson County to the late Arleigh and Lorena (Rice) Phillips. Edwarda married Dwight Eugene Griffith and he preceded her in death. Edwarda worked at the A.L. Bowen Center and was a caregiver at the Choate Mental Health Facility. She was a Methodist by faith.
Surviving family members include her son: Dwight of Harrisburg; sister: Helen of Harrisburg; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Tina of Herod; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son: Dennis Griffith, and sister: Gladys Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Reed Funeral Chapel. Rev. Buddy Peyton will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Reed Funeral Chapel.
