Walter, a resident of Chimayo passed away as a result of an accident. He was predeceased by his father Eliseo L. Baca.

Walter was survived by his mother Susie Baca; brothers: Gene, Alfred, and Ryan Baca; sisters: Nettie and Brenda Baca; companion Deborah Mente; nephews and nieces: Rick and Shannon Hermosillo, and Monique Baca, and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Burial was in El Potrero Cemetery in Chimayo. Pallbearers: Andy Baca, Thomas Baca, Ray Baca, Charles Medina, Ray Joe Bustos, and Steven Medina. Arrangements by DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
