Elizabeth "Lib" Dunleavy of Easton, formerly of Tilghman, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Genesis Health Care, The Pines.

Born Feb. 6, 1916, in Queen Anne's County, she was the daughter of late Earnest F. and Elizabeth Smith Cummings.

During her working career, she worked 40 years for Tilghman Packing Company with her final position being a supervisor. She then took a position at Harbourtowne Restaurant as a kitchen supervisor, where she remained until retiring in the early 1980s.

She loved bingo, bowling and originating her own crab cake recipes; of which one was named in her honor called Miss Lib's. She also loved spending time with her family and enjoyed eating.

Her husband, Ambrose "Bud" Dunleavy died in 1985. Her only daughter, Patricia "Patsy" Haddaway, died Sept. 16, 2010.

Mrs. Dunleavy is survived by her brother, William E. Cummings; two grandchildren, Ellsworth S. Haddaway Jr. (Karen) and Pamela D. Haddaway; three great-grandchildren, Chris Brennick (Tabatha), Cara Hughes (Rob) and Jodi Hogendorf (Shawn); three great-great-grandchildren, Trey and Luke Hogendorf, Emma Patricia Hughes and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Tilghman United Methodist Church, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
