Henry and his brothers Isaac and Winslow formed the Hall Brothers Shipbuilding Company, one of the most famous in the world, with their business offices located at San Francisco, California and their shipyard(s) located across from Seattle, Washington. Isaac and Winslow handled the ship designs and customers and Henry managed the construction. Their "Tall Ships" were know as being among the most beautiful, best designed and built commercial sailing ships throughout the entire Pacific. Between 1875-1905 the Hall Brothers Company produced 108 ships.
Henry Hall was admitted to the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution on June 28, 1892, and as Charter Member #27 of the Washington State Society, Seattle Chapter, on March 17, 1895, through his Patriot Grandfather James Hall.
