Well Known Humboldt. Farmer Passes On
Millard F. Gardner, well known farmer of the Upper Mattole, died at his home Thursday after a long illness. He had been a resident of Humboldt county for many years and was considered an expert in fruit culture, particularly apple raising. He had passed the four score period but up to the time of taking ill was very active and alert. Surviving are his wife, Mary C. Gardner, and several grown children. The funeral will be held in Eureka Sunday afternoon at 1 :30 o'clock with interment being in Myrtle Grove cemetery.
