JACOB WESTFALL MEMORIAL
In October 1918, a monument was dedicated to Jacob Westfall at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Crawfordsville, Indiana, lead by Frank M. Mills of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and his only living grandson. Programme as follows:
- Lord's Prayer led by Regent G.A.R.
- Presentation Address and Historical Sketch of Captain Jacob Westfall by Frank M. Mills.
- Monument Unveiling by Mrs. Waugh of D.A.R.
- Address of Acceptance by Hon. Dumont Kennedy, Mayor of Crawfordsville.
- Presentation of Immortelle.
- Address of Lt. Charles T. Jewett, Pres. Indiana Society of Sons of the American Rev.
- Address of Judge J.H. Caldwell of Lafayette, Indiana, a Great Grandson.
- Address of Hon. Jas. H. Stover of Milwaukee, WI, late President Wisconsin Society S.A.R.
- Finale-Poem, Flag of the Free by F.M. Mills.
Note: Jacob is not buried here but in nearby Skillman Cemetery. Skillman is a small cemetery which requires crossing private land to access. (See Find A Grave memorial #22314903).
