Leona was born May 31, 1930 in Marietta, Ohio to Calvin and Thyrza (Kinsey) Lee. She was a homemaker and had lived in Warsaw for over 50 years coming from Ohio. Leona attended New Creation Church, Warsaw.
Survivors include 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law: William and Becky Bailey, Warsaw; Elam Bailey of Atlanta, Georgia; and Matthew and Victoria Bailey of San Diego, California; 3 daughters and a son-in-law: Thyrza Jane and Charles Boring, Warsaw; Marlene Bailey, Pierceton, Indiana; Juanita Wooten of Warsaw; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by a son: Joseph Junior Bailey; 3 brothers: Fred Lee, Ellis Lee and Vic Lee; 3 sisters: June Kehl, Geraldine Brown and Kathleen Walters.
Family and friends will gather at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw Wednesday, August 15th from 2-3 PM to share in memories and conversation. A service celebrating Leona's life will follow beginning at 3 PM with Rev. Rick Tolley of New Foundations Ministries in Wabash, Indiana. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
