Connie Bowlick Greene, 55, Elk Park, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2006 in the Johnson City Medical Center.


She was born March 17, 1951, a daughter of the late Isaac Conly and Alma Eller Bowlick. She received her Bachelors Degree from Florida State and her Masters Degree from the University of Georgia. A member of the Minneapolis Christian Church, she was active with the Ladies Bible Study, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Campus Christian Fellowship at Appalachian State University, and a member of the Ombudsmen. She retired from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, and had most recently been enjoying substitute teaching in the Avery County School System.


She is survived by her husband, Jim Greene; one son, one daughter, one aunt, and four special cousins.


Funeral services for Connie Greene will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 2 from the Heaton Christian Church with the Revs. Durl Jones, Jr., Brent Niddifer, and Ken Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the Bowlick-Odom Cemetery.


Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home of Newland is serving the Greene family.
