He grew up and attended school in Hill City. June 15, 1926, in Deadwood, SD, he married Gladys Barker, who died February 5, 1937. July 2, 1938, in Hot Springs, SD, he married Leona (Murphy) Heppner, who died March 3, 1946, in Idaho. (Leona is buried in Hill City, SD.)
The following year he moved to Buffalo, WY, where he was employed by the Shrum Lumber Co., and later with Buckingham Lumber. On November 24, 1946, he married Alice White at Hardin, MT. The couple lived in Buffalo until his retirement in 1965, when they moved to Hill City.
They moved back to Buffalo in 1979. Morehouse was a member of the Buffalo Eagles Club and the Elks Club in Sheridan, WY.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; one daughter, Theo Harriet of Buffalo; one son, Dale of Cordova, AL; four step-sons, Harry White of Anchorage, AL, Robert Heppner of Buffalo, Larry Heppner of Scottsbluff, NE, and Howard Heppner of Hot Springs, SD; one step-daughter, Gertrude Andreason of Rogers, AR; one brother, Fred of Clarkston, WA; one sister, Dora Davis of Hill City; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
Ralph was burid in the Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, WY.
Alice Marvel Morehouse died in Buffalo, WY, in 1998.
Theo Pearl Harriet died in Buffalo, WY, March 29, 2002; and her husband, Prosper Harriet died a month after Theo, on April 15, 2002.
Ralph's son, Dale died in Washington State in 2003.
