Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Harry Forrester of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation at Centuries on Monday, August 13, 2012 from the hours of 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker and spent most of her time being the best wife and mom to her family. She also enjoyed spending time in her yard planting flowers. She attended Byrd High School, was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Ostomy Club.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 60 years, David Lane Freeman; son. Davie Lee Freeman; daughter, Paula Marie Scaff; son, Lonnie Freeman and wife Beverly; daughter, Cheryle Brister and husband Ken; fourteen grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mellie Rich; brother, W.L. Hodge and sister, Nancy Hodge.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be her grandson's, Jason, Jared and Justin Freeman, Chris Beecher, James Willis and Landon Meshel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made in Mrs. Freeman's honor to the American Cancer Society .
