BREDEHOFT--Fred H. Bredehoft dies; funeral services Thursday
Fred H. Bredehoft, 63, who farmed northeast of Duncan, died unexpectedly in his sleep Friday night at his home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Evangelical and Reformed church with the Rev. Melvin E. Schroer, pastor, in charge. Burial will be at Duncan.
The body will lie in state at the Gass Funeral chapel from 11 a.m. Wednesday until noon Thursday, then at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Bredehoft, a lifetime resident of this community, was born Jan. 23, 1898 near Duncan, the son of John and Paulina Hecker Bredehoft, and received his education at District 16.
He farmed the home place northeast of Duncan.
Mr. Bredehoft was a member of St. Luke's church and a former member of the District 16 school board for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Lena Rodehorst of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; three brothers, Walter of Osceola, Ted, sr., and Carl of Columbus; eight nieces and nephews.
His father died Jan. 22, 1943; his mother, May 8, 1960.
