He was born July 22, 1920, in Batavia, Iowa, to John and Dora Webb Dailey. He was a mechanical engineer by trade and served in the Navy as an aviation machinist mate.
Dailey lived in Los Angeles, Basin City, Wash., and Brookings before retiring at Loon Lake. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Dailey was a member of the Kiwanis, Elks and Lions clubs in California and Oregon.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth of Pasco, Wash., Richard of Woodinville, Wash., Jacques of Castro Valley, Calif., and John of Sacramento; two daughters, Sharon of Castledale, Utah, and Yvette of Sacramento; three sisters, Carolyn Roberts of San Diego, Louis Metz and Marie Freidrichs; and 17 grandchildren.
Two former wives, Gladys and Harriet, and a daughter, Linda, died previously.
Dunes Memorial Chapel in Reedsport was in charge of arrangements.
