WILLIAMS, ILA LANGFORD

Ila Langford Williams, 88, of Spencer, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 1996, at

Roane General Hospital.

She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Marcus Seymore

and Lucy Dawson Langford. She owned Williams Shoe Store, Spencer, for

over 50 years, and was a member of Wetzel Chapter of Eastern Star 27

and Spencer Advent Christian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Herbert Williams; two daughters, Margie

Williams Evans of Arnoldsburg and Mildred W. Pritchard of St. Louis,

Mo.; one son, Thomas D. Williams of Spencer; nine grandchildren; 13

great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by nine sisters and brothers.

Services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at Taylor-Vandale Funeral

Home, Spencer, with Rev. John Ellison officiating. Burial will be in

Spencer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was scheduled 2 to 4 and 7 to 9

p.m., Wednesday.
