He was born in Au Sable Forks, New York, Aug. 20, 1902, the son of Frank J. and Margaret (Ryan) Maple.
Mr. Maple was employed as a paid driver for the Saranac Lake Fire Department for 45 years. He was also an independant painter. Mr. Maple was a life member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 1508 and the Saranac Lake Fire Department.
He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Maple of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two daughters, Mrs. Franklyn (Barbara) Roesch of Warrensville Heights, Ohio, and Mrs. Wallace (Donalda) Gay of Saranac Lake; and six grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday, October 21, 1986, at 11:15 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church in Saranac Lake. Burial will be in Holy Name Cemetery in Au Sable Forks.
