Adult Actor, Director. Born Geoffrey Gann transvestite performer Karen Dior appeared in both adult and mainstream film and television. He started his acting career in the adult film industry where he starred and also directed. He later became the youngest director inducted into the Adult Video Hall of Fame. His first mainstream acting appearance was in the TV movie "The Price She Paid" in 1992. He appeared as his transvestite image in "A River Made to Drown" with Richard Chamberlain and "Just Add Love" both in 1997. He appeared as himself in the indie film "The Fluffer" with Scott Gurney and played Miss Artiphys in the TV show "Xena: Warrior Princess." He also appeared in episodes of "Veronica's Closet" and "Head Over Heels." In 2002 he published a memoir titled "Sleeping Under the Stars." Karen tested positive for HIV in 1995 and suffered from the disease until his death from hepatitis at age 37.
